#12 Take a chill pill every fortnightly, and pop your own bubble.

You know sometimes, we say we are who and who from wheresoever and are doing something bombastic like fighting for world peace or saving the Amazon from deforestation. It "sounds" very cool, but in reality we're just facing inflation.

1. Things are never as hard as it seems.

2. Everything in your head is indeed bigger than it really is.

3. People talk a whole lot more than they do, or are worth.

4. The secret to win (and make them look like fools); Just keep quiet, smile patronizingly, then outwork them.

5. The power of time. Where you invest your time, for how long a period do you work on a project; it is the best supporting evidence to your dedication. Time > $$$

One of my homies, Mateo, snapped this photograph of us at the OECD meeting, seemingly paying full attention to the speaker. Here were all 10 of us in Washington, flown in from all over the country, dressed in our OECD polos and grueling through lots of paper and stuff to learn/do.

Reality could not be further away from the truth as we were watching the WORLD CUP on the OECD TV during the break- and had it on mute all throughout the rest of the match. Talk about multi-tasking! Ah yes, the OECD HQ in Paris decided to broadcast the World Cup matches on their broadband TV worldwide to prevent the server from slowing down should all the Frenchies decide to hog the server watching Football.

Life is good.

In other more depressing news, the Tour de France is over and Lance Armstrong came in #23 (I want to die) but at least Andy Schleck ♥ came in #2 and saved the day. I'm not a fan of Alberto Contador (#1), but I must admit he is a pretty young, and bomb rider (at least Fabian Cancellara #31, didn't win). TdF is overrrrr overrrrr... my life is over too :'(
