Yesterday, I went for an opening of an art gallery,
First Love. The artist paints primarily of apples & roses, and this was my one of my favourite pieces. I liked another one depicting a pale grey cardboard tray of eggs and pink roses, with an empty royal blue porcelain chinese bowl to the left. I had imagined myself purchasing the piece and shipping it back to Boston so I could wake up to it every morning. But because I always live in my future instead of the present, I could foresee myself in about 7 months, cursing and swearing at my idiocracy of burdening myself with more stuff as I graduate. He painted that piece in 1997, and nobody has bought it since.
I hope it waits another year for me.
